History
- 1918 - Ivanovo-Voznesensk Polytechnic University was established by Vladimir I. Lenin’s Decree.
- 1930 - Ivanovo Power Engineering University was formed on the basis of mechanical engineering faculty of Ivanovo-Voznesensk Polytechnic University.
- 1938 - By the Decree of the USSR Supreme Soviet Presidium the University was named after V.I.Lenin.
- 1980 - Ivanovo Power Engineering University was awarded a ‘Medal of Honor’.
- 1992 - The university was granted a status of State Engineering University.
- 2008 - Ivanovo State Power Engineering University successfully passed external quality audit and received accreditation from EFQM experts.
